Seymour Martin Lipset, professor of Sociology at Harvard, has been named by President Johnson to the Board of Foreign Scholarships, which distributes the Fulbright grants.
Under the Fulbright educational exchange program about 5500 students receive yearly grants to study, teach, or lecture in the United States and abroad.
Lipset said this week that as far as he knows his major concern will be judging Scholarship applications.
