Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
Harvard captain Don Chiofaro is the only unanimous selection and one of only two repeaters on the 1967 Official Coaches' All-Ivy Football Team announced yesterday. Linebacker Chiofaro leads a six-man Crimson delegation that is topped only by the seven men from Ivy champion Yale.
End Carter Lord, guard Al Bersin, and halfback Vic Gatto were named to the first-team offense, and end Bob Hoffmann and safety Tom Williamson join Chiofaro on defense.
The selection of Lord, who set a Harvard record with 39 receptions, corrects the most obvious injustice on the Associated Press All-Ivy team released two weeks ago. The coaches, whose nod is considered official, confirmed the AP's other Harvard players, though there were several disagreements on selections from other schools.
Among the non-repeaters are Harvard's John Tyson, who was injured most of this season, and Stan Greenidge. Greenidge was named at middle guard along with Yale's Tom Schmidt last year. This year the AP chose Lee Hitchner, Princeton's captain. Four of the coaches picked Schmidt this time around, and Greenidge and Hitchner split the honorable mention.
Other Harvard players among the 37 receiving honorable mention are tackle Bob Brooks, quarterback Ric Zimmerman, defensive tackle Joe DeBettencourt, and cornerback Bill Cobb.
