Strong Crusader Attack Will Test Frosh Gridders

"Any team that can score four touchdowns against Dartmouth is good." Harvard Freshman football coach Henry Lamar commented yesterday about Holy Cross. his team's opponent in today's 3 p.m. game at Soldier's Field.

Holy Cross, a two touchdown winner over the Indian freshmen last week should, according to Lamar, have a very good passing game. "We're counting on our defense to do a good job, as they did last weekend against Columbia," Lamar said.

"Our defense stopped Columbia on the goal line and never did allow them a sustained drive. If they can do as well tomorrow, we'll be all right," he continued.

About his offense, Lamar said. "We hope to pass a great deal more in this game." His quarterback will be John O'Grady, a 164 lb. mighty mite from Chicago, Illinois, Tom Miller, a 209 pounder, will start at fullback.

At halfback Lamar's starters are not set. but he expects Joe Dreher, Rick Frisbee, and Richie Szaro to see a good deal of action. Szaro got the only touchdown against Columbia with a three yard plunge late in the game.

Starting at the ends. Lamar has 6-2, 200 lb. Phil Zuckerman and 6-3. 208 lb. Ed O'Malley.

"Our success depends on how far we've progressed, as a team," Lamar said. "Against Columbia, we were hurt by fumbles and penalties, but if our offense is more polished this week, we can throw more," he concluded.
