The first Kennedy Memorial Scholars from West Germany arrived at Harvard Tuesday.
They are Mrs. Sabine Miller-von Levetzow, a doctoral candidate in political science at the University of Heidelberg, and Manfred Knap, a teaching fellow at a technical school in Darmstadt.
The two Germans, who will study for a year at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, are here under a program which will send several scholars to Harvard each year.
Funds for this program were contributed by federal and municipal governments, business, unions, and private individuals in West Germany.
The fund will also send several young politicians and journalists to the Kennedy School for shorter periods of time.
