Garber Privately Tells Faculty That Harvard Must Rethink Messaging After GOP Victory
It's the same old story after vacation every year--the track team gets a little out of shape. But that shouldn't matter too much today when the boys meet weakling Boston College at Briggs Cage.
B.C. won just three events in a 78-31 loss to the Crimson last year. They have the same kind of team again this season -- good in the weights and bad in everything else.
But Harvard should give the Eagles a good fight in the shot at least. Charlie Ajootian and Bruce Hedendal, worked hard over the holidays and showed great improvement at practice yesterday. Both heaved over 50 ft. consistently.
Nearly everyone's injuries healed over vacation, and Harvard will have its healthiest squad so far. But 600-man Jeff Huvelle re-injured his hamstring muscle yesterday and will miss the meet.
Bill Norris, B.C.'s distance man, poses a perennial threat that never seems to materialize. Norris has a fantastic kick and the Crimson's Jim Baker has none, so the mile run could be tight.
