Lamont to Acquiesce Noiselessly to Women

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

No ceremonies will attend the opening of Lamont Library to Radcliffe, head librarian Theodore Alevizos said yesterday.

Workmen are converting the fourth level men's room into a ladies' room, a conversion made annually for girls attending Harvard Summer School anyway. Otherwise no changes are being made.

Alevizos said he hoped the measure, which is on a trial basis for the spring term, would especially benefit female graduate students who live between Harvard and Central Square. They find it inconvenient to go all the way to Hilles Library for books, he said.
