Chiefs Will Win On Sunday, 31-21

By Robert P. Marshall jr.

America's traditional sympathy with an underdog clashes head on with America's traditional dislike of a pushy upstart Sunday when traditional America places it self around the tube for the AFL-NFL Playoff. The negative sentiment was outstripping the positive in all early analyses of this match. But the tide is turning. The Kansas City Chiefs have gone a long way to dissipate their Nouveau riche image.

The big break came two days ago when safety Johnny Robinson saw the Packer films and humbled. It Packers are just a great, great team. I've never seen any thing like it."

packer coach Vince Lombardi's reciprocation. "I don't know anybody who has more overall speed than Kansas city," sounded a bit hollow when he pointedly added. "It's hard to tell how fast they are because you don't know at what speed that pictures were being taken" Immediately one remembered now fast even the Keystone Cops could appear.

The case was cinched, however, when Lombardi revealed that never, not once in seven years, had be seen an AFL game, even on TV.

That's too much to take and the nice Kansas City boys, who get added sympathy support from occupying the same town as the Athletics, have got to be given the nod. unless they explode, as some sadists have morbidly suggested they might.

And besides, the Packers, who are used to playing January games in the I now and ice. Will be at a disadvantage the ideal playing conditions of Los at angels.
