The track team has elected Wayne R. Andersen '67, of Lowell Hense and Chicago, as captain of next year's squad.
Andersen, injured most of the spring, ran a 9.7 100-yard dash Saturday which was instrumental in defeating Army. Last winter he won the 60-yard sprint in the Heptagonals. He also runs the 220-yard dash.
The track coaches selected Chris Pardee, Tony Lynch, and Trey Burns for the team's annual Improvement Awards. Ron Wilson, Harvard's mainstay in the field events, copped the Sam Felton and Little Shotput Awards
The McLaughlin Award for outstanding sportsmanship went to freshman 2-miler Doug Hardin.
