Hazen's singing waitress Theresa Caulfield turned bouncer Saturday night.
When Brown student Joseph M. Tascano started cutting up in Hazen's she threw him out on his ear.
According to Theresa, who has become an institution at Hazen's since it opened three years ago. Toscano seemed to be "feeling pretty good." He was systematic socking all the glasses and dishes within his reach onto the floor. After politely asking him to leave. Theresa out from behind the counter to apply a little pressure.
When challenged by the hefty Theresa. Toscano reportedly cried, "I'm going to paste you one."
Toscano swung, and landed a hard right to Theresa's chin. Nonphased, the waitress picked up the squirming Toscano and tossed him out into the cold pavement of Holyoke Street.
"I've been thrown outta better places than this," Toscano claimed from his curbside seat.
"We don't care for the likes of him in here," she said quietly as she brushed her hands and returned to her onion rings and vanilla frappes.
Theresa and Hazen's did not press charges.
