Your modest proposal was an excellent one. Many undergraduates need time to discover where their interests lie and to decide what to do with themselves. As you pointed out, this time is not available.

Speaking for myself, I would highly approve integrating a year's or a semester's study in absence into the curriculum. I strongly urge the faculty's consideration of the CRIMSON'S perceptive proposal. Keith Hennessee '68
