The Radcliffe ski team took first place in three of the four conference races, this winter to win the Women's Intercol legiate Ski Conference championship.
Radcliffe placed second in the final race, the difficult three-quarter-mile, 47-gate giant slalom, Saturday at Cranmore, N.H. Robin Barnes took first, with a time of 99.6, and Ellie Waterson was third among 52 finishers.
Radcliffe team won the first conference race, a giant sialom, February 27 at Wildcat, N.H. Miss Waterson was first, Miss Barnes third, Ginny Storrs sixth, and Karla Shatz eleventh.
Radcliffe also won the second conference race, a giant sialom, held March 5 at Suicide Six. Miss Barnes finished third Miss Storrs fourth, Miss Shatz eighth and Miss Waterson 18th.
The team won the next race, a 2-run slalom, at Ascutiny, Vt. Miss Barnes tied for first place and Miss Waterson finished fourth.
In the individual standings among all 13 teams in the conference, Miss Barnes is first, Miss Waterson second, Miss Storrs fourth, and Miss Shatz eighth.
