Harvard's basketball team fell to sixth place in the Ivy League Saturday night, losing 76-67 to Yale at New Haven.

The contest was a close one throughout the first half, until the Elis scored six points in the last minute before intermission and built up a 40-31 advantage.

Yale led during the second half, and sewed up the victory when sophomore Frank Wisnewski scored eight straight points in the last three minutes of play.

The Bulldogs had an extremely well-balanced attack. Seven of their players scored between 8 and 12 points. The Crimson however, didn't get its usual massive scoring output from Keith Sedlacek. The leading Harvard scorer of all time was held to 15 points; Barry Williams paced the team's scoring with 17.

Pennsylvania stayed in first place in the Ivy League with an impressive 64-66 victory over Cornell at the Palestra. Columbia knocked Princeton out of contention with a 62-59 win over the Tigers, as seven-foot Dave Newmark racked up 28 points. Penn now has a 10-1 Ivy mark; Columbia is 9-2. Princeton and Cornell both 8-3.
