Playing a schedule of patsies may not mean much locally, but nationally it can make you a veritable powerhouse.

National statistics released yesterday revealed that Harvard is the nation's major college leader in both rushing offense, with a 361.5 average, and scoring, with an average of 37.5 points per game.

West Texas State leads the nation in total offense with a 473 mark and in passing offense with a 301.3 yard mark. Southern Mississippi has the best total defense, 87 yards per game.

It all sounds pretty good, nationally. And who knows, maybe the HAA will schedule West Texas State for next year.
