Radcliffe Scores Win in Regatta, Edges Holyoke

Radcliffe, participating in its first New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association regatta of the season, October 9, edged Mt. Holyoke, 78-73, for top honors in the two-division event.

Regis placed third with 61 points, followed by Simmons (56), Boston University (53), Boston College (20), and M.I.T. (8).

The regatta was hosted by Boston U. and held in M.I.T. dinghies.

Radcliffe skipper Jane Chalmers '69 and Linda Little '67 swept every race in the second division, while Michele Disario '67 and Irene Laery '67 finished high enough in the first division to defeat the Mt. Holyoke sailors in combined totals.

Tennis Duo Excels

On other Radcliffe sports fronts, Polly Rogers '68 and Leslie Bryant '69 reached the semifinals of the New England Collegiate Tennis Tournament for Women, October 9, before bowing to Boston University's championship team.

There were 34 doubles teams competing.

Ginny Storrs '69 reached the quarterfinals of the singles, which included 46 players from 27 colleges.
