Rebounding from last week's loss to Cornell, Harvard's wrestlers chewed Penn up an spat it out again Saturday, out-classing the Quakers 23 to 9 in Philadelphia.

Howie Henjyoji, wrestling 123 for the Crimson, started the rout by pinning Penn co-captain Gary Pillard at 8:16. Henjyoji piled up an awesome 17-8 lead before finally putting Pillard away.

Penn's Bob Chiarito won 5-2 over Mike Morris filling in for Bing Sung at 130, but the win was the Quakers' last bright spot for a long, long time.

At 137, Harvard captain Tom Gilmore crushed Mike Schiffman 9 to 0, and the Crimson's Howie Durfee followed with a 6-4 decision over Dick Levitt at 145.

Ed Franquemont, wrestling 152 for Harvard, kept John Boyd watching the ceiling for most of the match, scoring two predicaments and two near-falls. When the dust cleared, Franquemont had drubbed Boyd by a grotesque 15-2 total.

Paul Padlak scored Harvard's fourth straight win by downing Joe Geeb 4 to 2 at 160, running up the Crimson's lead to an unassailable 17 to 3. Gerald Gates finally halted the stampede for Penn by decisioning Dave Worcester 4 to 1 at 167.

Chris Wickens defeated Penn's Art Haney 5 to 3 at 177, but Bill Hale retaliated with a 9-4 decision over Jeff Grant of Harvard at 191. Heavyweight Tack Chace frosted the cake for the Crimson by blanking Dave Connolly 12 to 0. The victory ran Harvard's record to 3-1.

The Harvard freshmen found the going much rougher than the varsity did, but the Yardlings finally edged the Penn freshmen 19-17.
