Benjamin Rowland, Gleason Professor of Fine Arts, will not be able to give his two Summer School courses, Summer School director Thomas Crooks announced last night.
Rowland has been in the hospital with an ulcer. Crooks said the professor was not seriously ill, but would need to rest during the summer.
Crooks said he would not be able to find a substitute teacher, and that the 70 students enrolled in the two courses would be allowed to enroll in other courses or to withdraw. Rowland taught Humanities S-113 and Fine Arts S-275.
