Copland, Piston Share Glee Club's '65 Medal

Aaron Copland was presented with the Harvard Glee Club Medal by the Harvard Glee Club Foundation at its annual dinner last night. He shared the prize with Walter H. Piston '24, Walter W. Naumberg Professor of Music, Emeritus.

Previous recipients of the medal include Albert Schwietner (last year); Randall Thompson '20, retiring Walter Bigelow Rosen Professor of Music; Ralph Vaughan-Williams; and Charles Munch. It was first given in 1961.
