Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
The Faculty of Arts and Sciences has appointed six new assistant professors, affective July 1.
"Norman W. Ingham and Charles E. Townsend will become assistant professors of Slavic languages and Literatures. Ingham is currently an assistant professor at the University of Indiana, and Townsend has been an instructor at Harvard since 1962.
Ian M. Cooke '55 and Fotis C. Kafatos, both instructors in Biology, have been appointed assistant professors of Biology. Cooke is studying the effect of neurohormones on the hearts of crustaceans. Kafatos studies the enzymes involved in the escape of moths from cocoons.
John F. Kain, as expert on urban transportation and co-author of a White House Report, "Technology and Urban Transportation," will become assistant professor of economics. He now teaches at the U.S. Air Force Academy.
Shells A. Greibach '60, leacturer on Mathematical Linguistics since 1963, will be assistant professor of Applied Mathematics She uses computers to analyze the structure of language.
