Stanley N. Katz '55, assistant professor of History and Allston Burr Senior Tutor in Leverett House, will leave the University next year, bringing the number of Houses with new senior tutors to four.

Katz will become an assistant professor of History at the University of Wisconsin. He plans to teach a survey of American history and a colonial-history course.

Leverett's senior tutor for the past two years, he has helped teach History 361, a graduate course in selected topics of American history. He holds A.M. and Ph.D. degrees from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.

Richard T. Gill '43, Master of Leverett House, is reportedly considering several possible replacements but will make no recommendation to the Corporation for some weeks.

In the previously announced permanent change, Rustam Z. Kothavala will replace Richard H. Ullman '55, assistant professor of Government, as senior tutor of Lowell House. Frederick C. Cabot '59 will relieve Standish Meacham Jr., assistant professor of History, in Winthrop House for one year, and Garland C. Allen will be a one-year replacement for Larry D. Benson, assistant professor of English, in Quincy House.
