Interhouse Quota Eased at 'Cliffe

Fears that hundreds of hungry Harvard men might swarm to Radcliffe to enjoy the wine and candlelight of Wednesday night interhouse have proved groundless.

This fear originally led the dining halls to reserve a limited number of places on Wednesday nights. However, the quotas have not been filled in any dorm except Cabot; this week North House decided to eliminate as unnecessary its quota of 15 per dorm.

In effect three Radcliffe dorms now have three full nights of interhouse. Mrs. Elsa M. Shaine, North House secretary, explained yesterday that the low Wednesday attendance did not imply a failure of interhouse. She said that by adding better food and candlelight the dining halls had made Tuesday and Thursday nights as appealing as the traditional Wednesday meal.
