Trackmen Face Crusader Squad In Briggs Cage

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Holy Cross will become the track team's sixth straight victim tonight in Briggs Cage, but in a couple of races the crusaders will provide some exciting opposition.

Senior Bob Credie is probably the area's best 600 runner and is favored to reverse last winter's loss in the Cage to the Crimson's Keith Chiappa. Chiappa and Ogden may both test Credie tonight, although Chiappa is presently hobbled with a foot injury.

Early this season Credle set a Dartmouth feldhouse 600 record of 1:11.8, 0:00.1 faster than Yardling Jeff Huvelle's Harvard record time at Hanover last weekend.

The other star of the Crusader squad is hurdler, high-jumper, and broad-jumper Kevin O'Brien. O'Brien won his preliminary hurdles heat in the BAA's but lost out to Aggrey Aworl in his bid top make the finals. O'Brien's best high jump of the season has been 6 ft., 6 in., well below the range of the Crimson's Chris Pardee.

Tonight's first running event is schoduled for 7:30.
