Busy Trackmen Win Two More

Varsity track captain Art Croasdale and freshman sensation, Jeff Huvelle their teammates to a first place in the New England AAU championships at M.I.T. last Wednesday and to an easy win Saturday over Dartmouth at .

In the AAU tourney, Croasdale threw 35-lb. weight 60 ft., 41/2 in., the longest toss of his career, to gain second place in the event behind Northeastern's Bill Corsetti.

Other Crimson winners in the tournaments were Tony Lynch, Wayne Anderson, and Keith Chiappa. Lynch tied Aggrey Awori's meet record in the 45-yard hurdles with a clocking of 0:05.3; Anderson won the 50-yard dash in, 0:05.6, and Chiappa took the 600 in 1:17.

At Dartmouth the varsity stretched dual meet record to 5-0 with an 34 1/2-41/2 lashing of the Indians. Aggrey Awori, who did not compete in the New England Championships, won the dash, hurdles and broad jump, his 12th, 13th, and 14th victories of the season.

Other winners for the Crimson were Michael Hauck in the 600 (1:14.1), Croasdale in the weight (56 ft., 2 2/2 in.) and shot (54 ft., 11 1/2 in.), Jim Smith in the mile (4:19.1), Dave Allen in the two mile (9:51.4), and Chris Pardee in the high jump (6 ft., 8 2/2 in.).

Jeff Huvelle was the standout Crimson performer. He set a University record in the freshman 600 with a clocking of 1:11.9. The unbeaten Yardlings won their meet 65-44.
