5 Assistant Professors Named for Next Year

Dean Ford has announced the appointment of five assistant professors, effective for next Fall.

Frank P. Casa, a specialist on Spanish literature of the Golden Age, and Donald A. Stone, Jr., whose field is French Renaissance literature, will become assistant professors of Romance Languages and Literatures.

Nicholas W. Gillham '54, a plant geneticist, will become assistant professor of Biology, and Thomas C. Patterson, a specialist in South American archaeology and ethnology, will be assistant professor of Anthropology.

Stephen R. Lewis, Jr., who works in economic development, public finance and international trade, will become assistant professor of Economics.
