The Phillips Brooks House Association yesterday was cited by a national phillanthropic group for out standing volunteer service.

The citation was made by Lane Bry ant, Inc., a private institute. Gail M. Gillam '65-4. president of PBH, received a plaque at Lane Bryant's annual awards luncheon at the Plaza Hotel in New York City.

Devotion Praised

In a statement read at the luncheon the institute said: "The energy and devotion of these hundreds of volunteer students has indeed been impressive. Not only has the program of Phillips Brooks House been of considerable benefit to the disadvantaged people served, but it has been of extreme value to those serving."

Dean Monro nominated PBH for the award last year.
