The leaders of last Saturday's march on Washington will soon reply to telegram they received from Ho Chi Minh, H. Stuart Hughes, professor of History, said yesterday.

The North Vietnamese president sent a telegram several days before the march to Hughes and Dr. Benjamin Spock, noted pediatrician, who are co-chairmen of the Committee for a Sane Nuclear policy. The telegram was in reply to a message which SANE, had sent to lio regarding the march.

According to the New York Times, the telegram said: "If the United States imperialists stop their aggression, peace will be restored in Vietnam."

Hughes emphasized the committee's cagerness to make the reply more than a mere formality. "We want to make this more than just words." he said. Hughes added that recent developments have contributed to the potential importance of the reply.

Dr. Spock and Sanford Gottieb, politierl action director for SANE. are coauthoring the reply. Hughes said he will be unable to take part in the drafting of it.
