To the Editors of the CRIMSON:
Just a note of thanks, from several members of [the Cambridge police] department, for the assistance of many unknown and unnamed "Harvard Sons," who unselfishly and without thanks or gain volunteered their help to us and to some of the thousands of motorists and pedestrians caught in the recent blackout.
I was assigned to the Harvard Square area. On arrival, I found several of the above-mentioned students, on their own, directing and assisting traffic and pedestrians through several busy intersections, all without incidents or accidents.
Harvard students sometimes do not receive favorable publicity; but all were in agreement that, in this case, they were tops. Again many thanks, to all of them. Sergeant John J. Norton
