Four Harvard runners won places on the All-Ivy League crosscountry team announced during Christmas vacation.

Walt Hewlett, Dave Allen, Bill Crain and Jon Chaffee represented Harvard on the team, the first All-Ivy team ever chosen in cross-country.

The rankings were chosen on the basis of individual finishes in the Heptagonal meet, which Hewlett won, with Allen second, Crain eighth, and Chaffee 19th. Harvard finished second to Navy in the meet.
