Tennis Team Defeats Engineers in Rain, 5-0

The varsity tennis team managed to play five matches against M.I.T. yesterday before rain covered the courts entirely, and the Crimson won all five.

Frank Ripley took the first singles match from Jack Moter 7-5, 6-3, and Chum Steele, Dave Benjamin, Sandy Walker and Dean Peckham also turned in straightset wins.

Clive Kileff, the team's third player, was still going when the Crimson clinched the match by winning the fifth point; his match was called and the doubles were never started.

The varsity goes on the road once again Saturday, when they play an Amhearst squad that lost to the Crimson 9-0 last year.
