The nation's First Lady, Mrs. Lyndon B. Johnson, will be the baccalaureate speaker during commencement week at Radcliffe this year, President Bunting announced yesterday.
Mrs. Johnson had been considering the invitation for several weeks, Mrs. Bunting said, but only confirmed that she would speak two days ago. "I know that the students will be particularly pleased to hear this year's speaker because both President and Mrs. Johnson have done so much to open up opportunities for women throughout the nation," Mrs. Bunting added.
The baccalaureate service for members of the Class of '64 and their families will be held in Memorial Church on June 9.
