Over 200 college students, including some from as far away as North Carolina and Missouri, will converge on Cambridge this afternoon for a three-day "China Conference" of the Collegiate Council for the United Nations.

The conference will explore the ascendance of Communist China and its important place in the world. There will be a special attempt to explore the differences between China and other Communist nations, the aggressive Chinese policies on the Indian border and in South East Asia, and recent French recognition of the malland regime.

The keynote address at 7:15 p.m. tonight will be delivered by Robert Barnett, deputy assistant Secretary of State for Far Eastern Affairs. Stanley Hoffmann professor of Government, will give the conference's final address on "The Future of the United Nations" on Sunday at 11:30 a.m.
