Harvard Still On Track To Reach Fossil Fuel-Neutral Status by 2026, Sustainability Report Finds
Frank Ulcickas and Paul Guzzi, two of Harvard's three All-Ivy football players, raked in several new honors last week, including honorable mention status on the Associated Press All-America team.
Ulcickas, and Guzzi, who had earlier been picked along with Gene Skowronski for honorable mention on the AP All-East team, were also chosen by the wire service for the All-New England defensive unit.
Lion Tamer
Ulcickas, an offensive and defensive star for two years, had his best game this year against Columbia. He caught a pass on the one-yard line to set up Maury Dullea's game-winning field goal in the last seconds of the game. Defensively he put consistent pressure on All-Ivy quartorback Archie Roberts, tackling the Lion star three times and helping to make the game Archie's worst ever.
Guzzi moved up to the varsity as a corner linebacker after two years at the position on the J.V.'s. He stood out in the Yale game, intercepting one pass and stealing another out of Eli end Bob Kenney's arms.
Cosmo Iacavazzi, Princeton's star full-back, was the only Ivy Leaguer chosen as a first-team All-American. Iacavazzi was chosen as, of all things, a defensive back.
