The freshman basketball team, tied 95-95 with Trinity after regulation play, broke away from the Hilltoper freshmen in overtime for a 105-101 victory.

Guard Bob Beller led the scorers with 37 points.

It was the third victory for the freshmen and the second time this season that the team has broken 100 points. They best Springfield narrowly in their opener, then walloped Brandeis by 60 points while breaking 100 for the first time. The losses have come against Connecticut and B.C.
