WHDH Will Air Dancers in Feb.

The Harvard-Radcliffe Dance group will appear in a program on WHDH-TV as part of the "Dateline Boston" program, it was learned yesterday.

Scheduled for February 10, the half-hour production will attempt to demonstrate the "elements of form and content common to architecture and dance," according to Miss Billie Kirpich, dance instructor.

The dancers, selected last Thursday, will choose buildings which are "distinctive as to qualities and features," then use them as a "springboard for creating a dance," Miss Kirpich said.

She added that the program will attempt to illustrate the "universal language of the arts."

"Architecture and dance can be very similar in spatial and rhythmic elements as well as design," Miss Kirpich explained. She added, however, that while the dance will not attempt to reproduce the building which inspired its creation, the two art forms will be recognizably similar in general atmosphere.

Eric Levenson, a student in the Graduate School of Design, will be the group's architectural advisor. A dancer himself. Levenson has designed costumes and sets for previous Harvard-Radcliffe dance productions.
