The Harvard rugby team finished an unbeaten Ivy League season by squeezing past Brown, 6-3, on Soldiers' Field Saturday.
An aggressive Harvard forward line dominated the first half, but Brown got the only score on a three-point penalty kick late in the half. It was the only time in the half that Brown penetrated the half-field line.
Harvard took over in the second half, pushing into Brown territory consistently before John Dickinson's penalty kick tied the score with 10 minutes left in the game.
The Crimson struck back quickly. A near score by back Ted Roosevelt set up Dickinson's second successful kick and gave the Crimson its winning margin.
