ATLANTA--The Milwaukee Braved announced yesterday they are considering transfering their National League baseball franchise to Atlanta.

William Bartholomay, chairman of the board of the Braves, told a new conference that he is returning to Milwaukee with the first firm commitment form Atlanta officials since rumors of the shift started more than a year ago.

Bartholomay would not predict whether the agreement would be satisfactory. He said the board is expected to consider it within 10 days.
