The Crimson golf team took an easy first place in Saturday's New England division collegiate golf championships to qualify for the Eastern Collegiate Conference finals this Saturday in Bethpage, L.I.
The four-man Harvard squad scored a composite 315 on the damp Burlington (Vt.) Country Club Course. Providence College and the University of Rhode Island tied for second place at 324.
Three of the Crimson scores, led by Captain Jim Campen's medal-winning 75, were among the low five individual finishes. Sophomore Bob Sinclair tied for third place with a 77 and Brian McGuinn, another sophomore, finished in a deadlock for fifth place at 78.
