Quintet Will Battle Brown, Yale; Crimson May Pull Upset on Elis

By Richard Andrews

After the Crimson basketball team makes mincemeat of Brown Friday night, don't be surprised if the quintet pulls a shocking upset at Yale the next evening.

The team, although a bit rusty from the exam period layoff, is bristling with confidence as it approaches its first Ivy League road weekend of the season.

Brown should prove no problem. The Bruins own a dismal 4-9 record, and are winless in league competition. Earlier this year Brown lost to Northeastern 85 to 63, while the Crimson edged the Huskies by three points.

The Bears' have no big gun. All the members of their starting five are averaging about 10 points per game. With two men at 6-5 and one at 6-6, rebounding is their major asset.

Yale was touted the team to beat in the league this year, but have flopped so far, having lost already to Penn and Princeton.

The Bulldogs lack Harvard's height, have virtually no depth, and may be out of shape since their exam period lasts until Friday. The Crimson's big headache will be 6-1 forward Rick Kaminsky. One of the greatest players in Eli history, he in averaging 23.7 points per game and has scored 1056 in his career.

Floyd Wilson will probably start Bob Inman, Merio McClung, Barry Williams, Keith Sedlacek, and Lee Scully, with Al Bornheimer and promoting sophomore John Scott slated to see plenty of action.
