Presidents Chosen By Alumni Groups

Geoffrey S. Smith '22 has been elected President of the Harvard Alumni Association, an organization representing more than 120,000 alumni of the University. Smith, who served as first vice-president of the Association in 1962-1963, will take office the day after Commencement.

A resident of Fort Washington, Pa., Smith is presently Chairman of the Board of the Girard Trust Corn Exchange Bank of Philadelphia. After receiving his LL.B. degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1925, he practiced law in Philadelphia before serving in the Navy during World War II. He is a trustee of the St. Paul's School in Concord, N.H., and a member of the Harvard Overseers' Committee on University Resources.

The Associated Harvard clubs, a group linking 133 Harvard Clubs in this country and 24 others around the world, has chosen Emrys C. Harris '40 as its president for the coming year. Harris, of Miami Shores, Fla., owns the Miami Real Estate Agency.
