HARVARD'S KOBUSKI DIES; HERBARIUM HEAD WAS 63

Clarence E. Kobuski, curator of the Arnold Arboretum and of the University Gray Herbarium, died yesterday at his home in Weston. Kobuski was 63.

Kobuski had received world-wide recognition for his taxonomic studies of flowering plants; he was also a specialist on the plant life of Asia. Kobuski had served as head curator of both the Arnold Arboretum and the Gray Herbarium since 1954. He also edited various scientific publications of the two institutions.
