Head Tutors Selected For Adams, Leverett

The names of the new Allston Burr Senior Tutors in Adams and Leverett Houses were announced yesterday.

Robert W. Haney, Teaching Fellow in General Education, will assume duties in Adams House beginning next fall. Haney, who is presently an English tutor in the House, is interested in theology and law. He is a Unitarian minister and has written books on civil liberties.

Stanley N. Katz, instructor in History and tutor in Dunster House, has been named the new Senior Tutor of Leverett. Katz, a specialist in American History, will succeed Richard T. Gill '48, who will become Master of Leverett next year.

Haney replaces Andrew G. Jameson who will take a one-year sabbatical to study in Africa. Jameson, who is head section man in Soc Sci 1, will return in 1964 to his post as assistant professor of History.
