Golfers Meet Tufts, Amherst Today

Relying on sophomores and juniors in the top positions, Harvard's golf team will attempt to notch its first win of the season today when it meets Tufts and Amherst in a triangular meet at the Colonial Country Club in Lynnfield.

In its only other match to date, the Crimson lost 5-2 to a strong Navy team last Saturday at Annapolis. Absent from the Crimson lineup against Navy, however, were number one man Stan Abrams '64 and captain and number five man Bob Holton '63.

Sophomores Jim Campen and Peter Tague will be in the number two and three positions in today's match and junior Bob Seelert will golf in the number four spot. In last week's spring trip to North Carolina there were five players contending for the final two spots and coach Cooney Weiland could call on any of them today.

Both Amherst and Tufts are unknown quantities this year, but if previous years' records are any indication, the Jumbos will provide the Crimson with far more trouble than the Lord Jeffs.
