David Brandling-Bennett of Lowell House and Los Angeles, Calif., has been elected next year's captain of the varsity swimming team. Brandling-Bennett, a freestyler and backstroker, this year also swam the individual medley for the Crimson.

Brandling-Bennett is optimistic about the team's prospects for next winter. "We can expect a season every bit as tough as this year," he says, "but I think our fine freshman team, and improvements on the present varsity squad, will help us a lot. I expect we will do as well next year as we did in the past season."

This year's swimming team had a 9-1 overall record, and a second place finish in the Ivy League.

The varsity basketball team has elected Robert P. Inman of Dunster House and Arlington Heights, III., captain of the squad for 1962-1964.

The 6 ft., 5 in. forward was one of the Crimson's leading scorers in the late-season play.

Inman was injured early in the year, and was unable to make the Christmas trip to Evansville, Ind. His full recovery was indicated in the second game against Penn, where he led Crimson scorers with 16 points.

The following night he did even better against powerful Princeton, scoring 19 points. His next performance, a 17 point effort against Brown, was a key factor in the varsity's final victory of the season.
