NSA's seminar series on Africa will open at 7:30 p.m. tonight in Sever 37 with a speech by Immanuel Wallerstein, African scholar at Columbia University, on the history and uses of the idea of neo-colonialism.
Afterwards, African and American members of the seminars will begin discussing the charge that the grant of independence to many African countries has been a deception, because they remain heavily dependent upon former colonial powers.
