Jefferson Frazier '63 was elected president of the Young Democratic Club of Harvard and Radcliffe at a boisterous membership meeting in 2 Divinity Ave. last night. Frazier, a Kirkland House resident from Durham, N.C., got 75 votes to 64 for Craig Smith '64.
YDCHR members also chose Allen T. Rozelle '66 as first vice-president; Michael B. Staebler '65 as second vice-president; Colin J. Carl '65 as secretary; Louis D. Beer '66 as treasurer; and the following executive committee members: Anthony H. Barash '65, Michael J.M. Galazka '63-3, Sydney J. Key '66, Burt L. Ross '65, Richard L. Smoke '65, and Sally R. Wasserman '66.
Addressing the meeting before the voting, Frazier said he would emphasize national issues such as civil rights and tax reform. His oppenent laid more stress on state and local issues.
