To the Editors of the CRIMSON:

Many thanks for assigning such a memorable but perhaps exaggerated epitaph to the stone of my endeavours in the Academy. A more accurate expression of sentiments concerning the taking up of duties in "that other place" (to which you referred as the "rival institution") would be: "Where, O Death is now they Sting?."

The Master of Lowell House has informed me that the Masters have, in an official consultation, advised him against sponsoring the seminar on. "The Critical Process and the Verbal Construct." This advice was handed down, according to Mr. Perkins, in light of my resignation.

The Harvard University Political Participation Council and Comment magazine have informed me that they would like to sponsor the seminar. For their gesture, your kind interest, and the loyalty of the numerous students whose desire to continue with what once had a more suspicious beginning, the following statement may serve as summative: Faithful are the wounds. Frederic A. Pennington   Teaching Fellow in   General Education
