Shirley MacLaine has been named Hasty Pudding Theatrical's Woman of the Year. She will fly to Cambridge from Hollywood to receive her award on Monday at 1 p.m. at the Pudding Clubhouse.
Miss MacLaine recently finished the film "Irma La Douce." She has also starred in such movies as "Can," "The Apartment," "Two for the See Saw," and "The Children's Hour."
According to Pudding officers, she was chosen for their annual award because of "an extraordinarily high degree of acting ability, a sparkling personality, and a genuine, lively sense of humor."
