Cambridge school committeeman Anthony Galluccio '39, defeated in a bid for a fifth term Nov. 5, failed to pick up any additional votes in a recount completed Tuesday night.
The results of the recount duplicated those of the original tabulation, with Galluccio missing re-election by 87 votes. The only incumbent to be defeated in the City's election, Galluccio led a campaign last September to retain Bible reading in Cambridge schools.
The recount he called for took 60 workers two days to complete, and cost about $1600. Thomas J. Hartnett, executive secretary to the Board of Election Commissioners, said yesterday that certificates of election, which had been temporarily withheld, will now be mailed to the successful school-committee candidates.
