Lawrence S. Coburn '65, of Lowell House and Needham, has been elected captain of the varsity soccer team for next fall.
Perhaps the steadiest player on this year's Ivy and New England championship team, Coburn started at left halfback in his sophomore year, and he played almost every game in the 1962 and 1963 seasons. He is a particularly able clutch player, and his hard defensive play in the closing minutes of the Brown and Yale games this fall was the deciding factor in the two close Crimson victories.
