Emily A. Hanke '64 of Jordan W and Washington, D.C. has been elected president of the Radcliffe senior class. Miss Hanke was chosen from a field of 18 candidates in a close election, in which 150 seniors voted.
The senior class is the only class at Radcliffe to retain the office of president. The duties of the senior class president include calling for the election of class marshal, presiding over the senior class committee, and taking part in Radcliffe commencement exercises.
Miss Hanke, whose field of concentration is physics, has served as a member of the Shield, the Radcliffe counterpart of the Crimson Key. She has not officially accepted the presidency as yet.
