Two disqualifications dropped the sailing team into third place this weekend in the Sehell Trophy Regatta at M.I.T. M.I.T. won the two-day series with 177 points, Coast Guard followed with 174, and the Crimson trailed with 163. Seven other, teams sailed the Tech dinghies in the unofficial New England fall sailing championship.
Two divisions sailed each day in a series of 20 races. One point was awarded for finishing and starting each competition, as well as for each boat passed. Had Harvard not been disqualified in two of the races, it might well have sailed to a better final standing.
Dave Stookey '64 skippered in the "A" division, Tim Prince '65 in the "B" division. Dave Gants '64, John Hagenbuckle '65 and John Clapp '66 were crew.
